ADRA CARU is a registered Non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. Its Mission is to work with at-risk and disadvantaged persons to create sustainable and positive changes through the implementation of strategies and actions that are environmentally friendly and socio-economically viable, and foster collaboration, partnerships and personal and spiritual growth and development.
Our Work
ADRA CARU’s vision is a Caribbean society where the basic needs for access to safe and nutritious foods, water, sanitation, health services, primary education, shelter and housing, and social justice for at-risk and disadvantaged persons are met, to realise measurable and durable changes in individual lives, families, and members of the wider Caribbean society.
Some activities of this ministry include:
- Training for ADRA field directors
- Development and deployment of National Emergency Management Plans (NEMPs) within the various countries of the Union.
- Participation in disaster and emergency response across the varied nations in the Caribbean Union.
- Continued development and training of ADRA volunteers across the CARU regions.
